COLLEEN MARTÍNEZ lives in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the unceded ancestral lands of the Secwépemc Nation. She belongs to Xeni Gwet’in First Nations Government.
Colleen graduated as an Early Childhood Educator from Thompson Rivers University in 2014 and has been an Education Assistant for 5 years in a First Nations School.
She currently works in a First Nations School supporting the classrooms. We celebrate the culture in many different ways. She believes that it’s great to see the culture being integrated into the children’s curriculum.
